At Creditview Dental, our dentists provide dental bonding as a non-invasive cosmetic procedure to restore to a damaged, decayed or discoloured teeth of Mississauga patients.
What is Bonding?
Dental bonding is a cosmetic procedure where your dentist literally bonds tooth-coloured composite resin to a damaged, decayed or discoloured tooth to give you a more even smile.
If you have a minor cosmetic dental issue, such as a cracked or discoloured tooth or a gap between your teeth, dental bonding may help address it.
After your dentist has finished the procedure, your teeth will look natural, especially if the tooth being filled is visible while you smile.
The composite also strengthens your teeth, so you can enjoy meals without having to worry about applying too much pressure on your tooth and breaking or cracking it again.
Dental bonding typically requires only one visit to your dentist's office, and can usually be completed in 30 to 60 minutes per tooth.
To prepare your teeth for bonding, your dentist will apply an etching solution to the surface of your tooth, and then apply a composite resin that matches the colour of your teeth.
The composite resin is then molded into shape and hardened in place with a high intensity curing light.
